NSCCS User Meeting 2011

The 2011 NSCCS User Meeting was held on Wednesday 7th December at Imperial College London. The meeting consisted of two user talks presented by Dr Jonathan McMaster (University of Nottingham) and Dr Stuart Mackenzie (University of Oxford), follow by a plenary talk presented by Dr Jonathan Goodman (University of Cambridge). Poster sessions took place during the afternoon tea break and the event ended with a wine reception.
The poster prize was announced and presented to Mr Gavin Roffe by Professor Jennifer Green of the University of Oxford, Chair of the NSCCS Management Advisory Panel. Gavin Roffe is a final year MSci student carrying out a research project in the group of Dr Hazel Cox at the University of Sussex. His poster was entitled "The gas-phase activation of methane by [M(pyridine)2]2+ complexes, M = Ca, Sc, Ti, Cu and Zn".
