Training
Training is an important aspect of the Service. We provide both one-to one training and group training sessions on our software packages. In addition to these, we also have a consultation service where users can receive advice on how to tackle specific chemical problems and the most appropriate software to use.
NSCCS Training
The NSCCS offers free one-to-one, group and on-line training to all users.
One-to-one training sessions are designed for users to learn how to use a particular software package. These sessions can be set up immediately and can be held over one or two days, depending on the requirements of the user.
Click here for a list of software packages where one-to-one training is currently available.
Group training (min. 5 people, max. 12 people) is also available but it has to be hosted by your institution and you will need to provide some infrastructure (computers, projector, seminar room, access to software). Group means people from the same research group, same department or your collaborators.
On-line training in the form of webinars is available. On-line training requires you having access to skype (headset or microphone/speakers are essential) and access to the internet.
For all training enquiries, please contact Dr Alexandra Simperler (email a.simperler@imperial.ac.uk).
Workshop Training
In addition to the above training, the Service also holds several workshops a year on specific software packages. These workshops are open to all users or potential users of the Service. Please check the News section for information.
